I'm going to see him tomorrow and was wondering if he could fix my tooth. I have braces only on the top teeth and I lost a filling on one of my lower molar. Can he help me?

Your orthodontist is more concerned with "moving" your teeth into the correct alignment. He may place a temp filling in it but will most assuredly refer you to your regular dentist for the replacement restoration. Don't put a trip to the dentist off for too long. Good luck!
Reply:Better wait until you return home to have it taken care of, it should be OK with the temp filling until then. Just avoid sticky or hard crunchy foods on that tooth so you don't accidentally dislodge it early. Have a good holiday! Report It

Reply:No. Orthodontists ONLY specialize in straightening your teeth, not repairing broken teeth. You'll need to see your regular dentist for that kind of dental work.
