Broken tooth - help?
go to the dentist and go as often as he or she tells you too the reason they hurt and bleed after going is the neglect......also make sure to brush your teeth at least 2 times a day and use mouthwash good luck
Reply:Sorry but you have to face your fear. You can live with out going to the dentist but you will eventually be toothless. If left alone taht tooth could go rotton and start to damage your health. Just suck it up and go to the dentist already.
Reply:You must see a dentist.

Did you not know that gum disease and tooth disease are a huge contributing factor to heart disease if left untreated?

Get to the dentist. I request my physician to give me Xanax for the visit, since I do dental anxiety too. It helps so very much.
Reply:There are dentists that work with anxious patients. They can give you something to relax you or make you sleep while they work. Your gums bleed because they are infected. Once you get it under control you will feel so much better....empowered that you did something to take care of yourself. Your breathe will be better, your gums will be healthy and your teeth fixed and protected. Look up the dentist referral in your area. They will have listings for patients who need special support. You can do this!
Reply:There may have been an abcess that forced the tooth out of the socket. You definately need to seek immediate treatment. Infection of your tooth could signal that you need antibiotics, go to the doctor ... if not a dentist. Or ask him to prescribe a sedative so that you may visit the dentist less nervously. Someone else should drive you there if a sedative is prescribed. Also, I like to request Nitrous Oxide (N2O) at the dentist%26#039;s office to prevent anxiety of procedures.
Reply:Well, when my boyfriend went to the dentist for a broken tooth they told him that you have to be careful because if it becomes infected and the infection gets into your bloodstream, you can get quite sick. So, even though you have a fear of the dentist you need to go because leaving it will only make things worse. Maybe you can get some medication to calm you down while you%26#039;re there.
Reply:Well, you know what the answer is. If you don%26#039;t go to the dentist, the tooth will eventually become infected and you%26#039;ll have to go to the dentist anyway with a toothache.

Your only problems right now is if you want the tooth saved (root canal and crown, about $1500-$2000) or not (extraction, around $300) You can probably live without one or two important molars, but getting more than that pulled will ruin your mouth for eating, and possibly your looks as well.

Time to start acting responsibly. Save money to get this one pulled, if that is all you can afford, then start going to the dentist regularly. Brush your teeth after every meal, and floss at least once a day, and things will improve. Otherwise you%26#039;ll end up with dentures before you really need them (and with proper care, you should never need dentures, anyway).

Good luck, I hope things work out for you.
Reply:THERE ARE PHARMACIES THAT SELL TEMPORARY FILLINGS, I THINK IT IS CALLED TEMPONAL... BASICALLY.... YOU PLACE A TEMP. FILLING UNTIL YOU CAN GO TO A DENTIST. YOU NEED TO GET THESE TEETH FIXED.TELL THE DENTIST YOUR SITUATION WITH YOUR FINANCES, MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE VERY UNDERSTANDING AND COULD PROBABLY SET YOU UP WITH A PAYMENT PLAN.
Reply:I am very afraid of the dentist as well. He makes large extractions from my wallet
Reply:Sedation dentistry is the answer for all dental phobes. Check out my website, and email me with your location and I%26#039;ll find you a sedation dentist near yo who will understand your fears. http://www.cent4dent.com//html/comfortab...
Reply:set up an appt with the hygienist and actually go to it. talk to them about your fears and listen to what they have to help you deal with it. and ask them to develop a plan that allows you to pay as you go.
