How to get relief from a broken tooth while pregnant?

I broke a tooth last year while i was pregnant and was reapplying for insurance this year when i became pregnant again. Now that same tooth is acting up from sinus pressure which is when it was hurting in my last pregnancy too. The dentist won%26#039;t pull the tooth while i am pregnant because its a molar and the rest of the tooth isn%26#039;t loose enough to be pulled with just novacaine, i would need gas too so getting it pulled right now is not an option. My doctor gave me Tylenol 3 with codiene and it helped a little during the day but did nothing at night. I have been up for 4 nights now with just getting little sleep during the day, and i have tried hot packs, extra strength tylenol, ice packs, orajel and nyquil and benadryl for sinuses. Is there any home remedies i can try that will ease up the pain so i can sleep?

when i had my wisdom teeth out it was recommended that i make a cup of tea and then put the tea bag on the affected gum. I believe it acted as an anti-inflammatory.

I would also consider hypnosis. Some people have even had surgery without anesthetic because of hypnosis.

Good Luck and Congrats on the new life!
Reply:You may want to be careful about taking Nyquil while pregnant. Last time I checked it was 25% alcohol, so each dose is almost like taking a shot of vodka...

Try valerian root tea for sleep. You get it at a natural food store. Mix it with something though because it%26#039;s not known for it%26#039;s taste. You can put licorice or a berry tea in with it so it doesn%26#039;t taste bad.
Reply:Use nitrous %26amp; lidocaine %26amp; have it done. been there many times in 32 yrs. best done after first trimester DMD
