The dentist won't fix it or help me pay for another. I am considering filing a suit against that man. What do you think?
A Dentist repaired my upper plate and a few days later one of the teeth broke out.?
Unless you are chewing on rocks, there's no reason that a brand-new repair falling apart like that should be acceptable to the dentist. He should be ashamed of shoddy worksmanship.
You should go to his office in the morning and speak to the receptionist. Have the plate in and hope that it's a full waiting room. Speak a little louder than you normally would and gesture to the broken tooth...let his waiting patients see for themselves that the dentist won't back up his work. Hopefully the shame factor will kick in and he'll fix it.
If not...
Next, I'd file a complaint with the state Board. I would then look for another dentist nearby who can fix it so you don't walk around looking like that. Good luck.
Reply:You can't really say the dentist is at fault. We don't know the nature of the repair that he did. Maybe the denture was broken quite badly.
The biggest thing here is that you are reasonable. If you feel you have a legitimate concern as to why this tooth broke away from the denture after the dentist repaired it, then speak to him about it. If you are trying to get something for nothing, well, then maybe you are the problem.
Reply:I think that it quite typical of the "new america" out there..... Heck!!!!!!!!!!!! Mildly put... as I dont know the rules here that well but get this!!!!!!! I had laser surgery done 2 years Sept and now after 35 years in Govt service I may have to retire.... because I can't see very well anymore and Ithink I just received my 4 or 5 opinion .... What do you think
