yes
Reply:yes. it could be an infection that might go deeper into the gums.
Reply:yes
Reply:I would at least call and tell the vet what happened. It could be nothing, and you will save yourself a trip, or it could be something that needs medical attention, like an infection. Hope everything is okay with her!
Reply:Duh yeah
Reply:If this is a puppy tooth and not an adult tooth as you indicated, then it will need to be pulled by the vet or you if it is loose.

When they turn black the tooth is dying (nerve loss or lack of blood supply), therefore remove it to keep infection out and it may be hard to shed when the adult tooth tries to push through.

I would recommend a Vet in this case.
Reply:yes if it goes too far into the tooth it can be very painful to the puppy - go get it checked out and see what the vet recommends - mt may have to be removed
Reply:yes you should go to the vet that might be be the puppy may die if you don't take it to the vet.go tommorow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Reply:Hopefully, she's eating okay. She's young so, it may just be a baby tooth.

I'd call my vet and ask for advice. If they think you should go in, then go. If it's a baby tooth and she isn't in pain and is eating okay...they may just tell you to wait for it to fall out.
Reply:No, but I think your dog should.
Reply:Yes, puppies immune systems are not built up all the way and, if you had a black tooth would you be worried? I hope so
Reply:Yes even through it is a baby tooth it could get infection and make her really sick and cause her a lot of pain
