Wisdom Teeth. Do you think they're coming in?

My gums are sore, where the top left wisdom tooth would be coming in. My jaw has been hurtin a little bit lately, so throw me your ideas, i'd like to hear your opinions on this.





oh and just a little story for ya. (if you have a super weak stomach dont read, but its not that bad)





when i went to get my teeth pulled before i had gotten braces(which got taken off in may 2007) the dentist broke my teeth off INTO my gums, and almost pulled the wrong teeth, and not only did he do all that but i had to go in and get surgery!!!! i was in pain for a straight week.....that was honestly the worst pain i've ever been in, so if these are my wisdom teeth coming in, i'm really scared to get them taken out.

At first they may seem to hurt but later on you get used to it and then you barely notice them (a little). When they get taken out I usually think I'm just gonna get another tooth pulled out no big deal. And when the pulling comes sometimes they give you a shot to numb the lip because that's what mine did. It really hurt but when it was about to be pulled out it didn't really hurt. So when they get taken out try to follow these tips so you won't feel so bad, or hurt as much
Reply:My wisdom teeth are coming out as well. I don't feel pain as much as i do annoyance. The gums just feel a tad weird as they are coming out. If your wisdom teeth ARE coming out, you should see your gums forming around your teeth in a few days. Sore is probably a good word.
Reply:Sounds like they're coming in! My advice - go get that Xray taken - there's no way of knowing whether it's something that needs to be extracted without an Xray. Maybe it'll just grow out straight and without any problem!





I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled this morning about 6 hours ago. 2 of them (lower) had to be surgically removed and honestly, it hurts - but nothing I can't handle. They gave me an Rx for Vicodin so I'm just waiting for 4 hours to pass so I can take another pill! It IS painful thugh so be ready, but remember that it's nothing you can't handle...





It does hurt though, which is why I am trying to distract myself online by reading other people's problems! :o)
