Wisdom Teeth and swollen gum?

I am in pain. My wisdom tooth came out years ago and its mostly chipped away. It has a few sharp edges that I did notice. Its already been about 4 days that I noticed pain when I bite down. My gum is swelling on top of my broken wisdom tooth. It looks like a small bubble and it hurts to the touch. Could this be an infection. I cant even eat nor talk right. Should I go to a Doctor or a dentist? Has this happened to anyone else?

Wisdom Teeth and swollen gum?
Go to dentist immediately, you probably have an abscess under the tooth.

Dentist will give you something to remove infection, it can then be removed.

It will not get better only worse.

Reply:Dude, you probably need to get that tooth removed. Get to a dentist ASAP and they can give you the scoop on what's really going on. Most likely it is infected. When my wisdom teeth started to come in they caused me a lot of problems and I was having trouble eating normal foods for the longest time. Thankfully I got them removed, and no problems since! I know you've had it awhile, but it could be the same kind of thing.

Good luck!
