I am getting it removed soon, but other people tell me that the wisdom teeth will push all my other teeth out of the way. Does anyone know how soon that will happen? In a day or two? Or does it take longer than that? I don't want to wake up one day and all the teeth are misplaced.
I had a wisdom tooth break through recently. It will probably get, or is impacted. How long before the teeth?
depends on the angle of which the wisdom tooth is growing, mine is nearly out and i have alot of pain with it and infections, wisdom teeth seem to take forever to break through so i wouldnt worry about your teeth being pushed out of place any day soon lol, more like months of pain if it growing arkwardly, u will be ok,
Reply:My wisdom teeth are 1/4 to 3/4 of the way out. My dentist has been telling me to take them out, for the last 35 years. In short, they've come out as far as they want to, and that's it. So there is no guarantee that they will come all the way through. BTW, I've been telling my dentist for the last 35 years that I'll think about taking them out. Just haven't had any problems.
Reply:if it has erupted thru your gum then you dont have to worry- its not impacted -it would take a long time to actually move your other teeth. look how long people are in braces and they're making those move-so you be fine . it needs to come out if you cant clean it well, the gum stays sore and irrated all the time and its coming in at an angle.
Reply:It depends on your jaw structure. Some people have enough room in their jaws that their wisdom teeth won't give them any trouble. Some people (like me) have tiny jaws that haven't got room for wisdom teeth and they straight up have to come out.
It certainly doesn't happen over night, but you should ask you dentist to take an x-ray to see if they are impacted and if you have room for them in your jaw. If they're impacted they'll have to come out, if your jaw is too small they'll have to come out. If they aren't impacted but your jaw is still too small, it isn't that horrible a surgery and you tend to heal up within a week or two. The more impacted they are, the more pain you'll have and the longer they take to heal.
