My husband has a broken tooth and all of sudden he is in terrible pain...?

How long do u think it will bleed if he rips it out of his mouth?

My husband has a broken tooth and all of sudden he is in terrible pain...?
Sounds like he has nerve damage from the broken tooth and now it is abcessed.

Go see your dentist immediately. Your dentist may be able to work with you regarding payments, etc. In the meantime, the dentist may prescribe something for the pain and perhaps antibiotics to help clear things up. An abcessed tooth requires a root canal to clear up the infection completely.

Don't delay!!!
Reply:aaahahahaah so funny

thanks ..

i needed that
Reply:go to the dentist
Reply:Probably for a day or so if he can stand the pain. Good luck.....
Reply:well this shows that he should of gone to a dentist a while ago for him to check the broken tooth. maybe you already did. has your husband never had any teeth pulled out? he won't die, practically no blood just a little for like 10 seconds.
Reply:put some rum or whiskey on it. Or you could use Ambasol.
Reply:Should really see a dentist, but if he does take it out himself, have him swish salt water for a few minutes and it shouldn't bleed long.
Reply:Not to long. Stuff some STERILE guaze up there. Thats what a dentist will do. Getiing the broken tooth out will be difficult. It hurts like that becasue the nerves are exposed/damaged. They are pissed... Try some motrin and some over the counter orajel or the like with a local anesthetic and see a dentist in the AM. Thats the safe bet, infections and complications are to many to mess with this in the garage.
Reply:Dealt with the same thing over the holidays except my tooth broke a long time ago and abcessed and got really really swollen!! GO TO A DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Ooh, my friend's dad had that problem, I say go to the dentist (doctor) and make an appointment for a suggery right away. My friend's dad had to do all this. The suggery will make them pry the tooth out, and make suggery inside the gums to stop the disease from spreading. Do this quick, or if the disease spreads too far, it'll be too late. I hope your husband will stay through this!
Reply:By all means do not try pulling it your self, you run a high high risk of a small piece of bone getting broke off inside the gum line and this will cause immedaite pain strong enuff to kill aa horse., it is not that expensive to go have it pulled by a dentist as some others have answewered stating a surgery it is very rare that a surgery is required if is any hting left of the tooth most dentist can still manage to pull it they have the expireince and the tools for doing so and i can enusure it is not the first on like such they see, most dentist offices will work with you on the payment discuss it with them some will hold the claim until after you have your dental insurcance if it is in a week r so. then send it it, and they will usually accpet partial payment and mnthly payments, but rgardess i would say the total cost is only 50$ - 75$ in most areas. but on the bleeding i have had many teeth removed , and as one person said 10 minutes r so. thats not always the case, and the ones that dont bleed much is very very painful. a dry socket is a chance also which is not very common but some patinets do have this i did and very very painful, good luck
Reply:hi i wouldnt wait i would go to the hospital or dentist depending on the pain it sounds like his nerve is exposed and there nothing out there for that kind of pain but novacaine. good luck
Reply:ask your dentist to do the procedure and charge the appointment as though he went in next week after you got the insurance? this is probably illegal though but you cant get in trouble for asking.
