Will flying with a broken tooth hurt?

no more than it hurts already

Will flying with a broken tooth hurt?
I wouldn't think so.
Reply:It is not going to make it hurt worse if that is what you are asking...
Reply:No! But flying with a broken wing might.
Reply:No, there should be no issues with the pressure, etc.
Reply:Depends how badly the tooth is broken. Any broken tooth has the risk of food, etc. getting in and causing it to decay. The tooth would be best to use a temp. seal of some kind to prevent it from having pain or decay inside later. I would use something that is over the counter as they have at drugstores. Ask the pharmacist what they would recommend if you don't find anything on the shelves when you go there.
Reply:When you fly there is pressure in the cabin but only during your departure and decent. With a cracked tooth any change in pressure may cause you pain. The space in between your cracked tooth is full of air. Any change in pressure on a plane will alter the air pressure in your tooth. Once a tooth is cracked and depending on how deep the crack is, it needs to be treated by a dentist right away. If the crack is deep you may be open to infection. If it goes into the pulp of your tooth you will need a root canal. You don't want to be flying if these complications develop.

Please, please do not fly, and get that tooth looked at ASAP.

Best Of luck!
